Crazytown + Giveaway Winners

So before we get to the giveaway winners, can we talk about this crazy thing that happened last night?

I just happened to see this last night as I was doing my final Facebook check of the day! So crazy! I'm definitely not used to having my little blog mentioned by other people! So turns out it was a little controversial (here's a link to the Sewing Club page if you want to check out the comments and here's the original post). Apparently people were upset that I said "women" should sew rather than "everyone" should sew. There was also some fodder about some women not wanting to learn to sew. So just to clarify for the Facebook commenter's who probably did not read the actual post, I do think that men should know how to sew as well, and I'm not insisting that everyone MUST know how to sew. If you hate it you don't have to! Anyway, whatever, I got 700 pages views on that post alone yesterday so I'm not complaining!

Now on to the winners!

The winner for a pattern from Victory Patterns is...

And the winner of the Pattern Runway pattern is...

Christina from This, That, The Other Thing!

Congratulations ladies! I've sent you both an email to confirm which patterns you'd like so be on the lookout for that! Also, thanks to everyone who entered! I wish I could share the warm weather and the strawberry margaritas I've been enjoying lately with all of you!

Fascinating that one little comment could spark such debate... Especially when the intent behind the comment was "whee I saved money" and not some sort of feminist/anti-feminist social commentary. Who knew everyone was so sensitive about the owning and operating of sewing machines?

Interesting! I agree with Sedai! That's awesome that you sparked a debate though. Kinda fun!
