My First Giveaway!
Do you read Pixie Patterns and Sewing? If you don't, you should! Tiffany is a super talented seamstress (and Zumba instructor! seriously impressed...) and she makes the cutest clothes (here's one of my favorite creations of hers)! Not to mention, she lists the upcoming sales at JoAnns and Hancock fabrics every week so I can be lazy and avoid having to look them up myself! A few weeks ago she announced that she was starting an online pattern shop and I immediately went to the website and started drooling over all the cute patterns. So of course when she contacted me about doing a giveaway on my blog I jumped at the chance! Then, she sweetly offered to send me a pattern to sew myself and feature on my blog. Such a doll! I had a hard time choosing but I finally picked a great Butterick See & Sew from the 80's to go with an amazing piece of umbrella printed vintage silk I got at an estate sale.I was going for a blousey, tie front dress like this:
And this is what I ended up with. I really love the way it turned out! The silk was not the easiest to work with but it's so flowy and pretty now that it's done!
I'm thinking it needs a big belt, but I don't know what color. Any ideas?
Close up of the umbrellas. So cute!
Now for the giveaway! Tiffany is generously giving 2 winners one pattern of their choice from her website! In order to enter you must: (Note: the Facebook link has been fixed! Sorry for the mix-up!)
